Millefiori Nails

Millefiori beads are so pretty and eye catching with all their colours, the colours just seem to blend together.  Here is an easy way you can do this technique on your nails using polymer nail art canes.
1.  Start with a selection of flower polymer canes.  Using a razor blade, slice off thin pieces from the cane.

2.  Paint your nails with a background colour.  This can also be done with gel and acrylic.  With gel cure your first application then position your cut flowers onto the gel, make sure you press the edges down.

Gel – Apply your next application and cure. Clean with Cleanser Plus to remove the sticky residue.
Acrylic apply your first application, using a little glue adhere the  flowers in position on the nail, then apply your next application cover the flowers as much as possible.
With all applications try and cover the flowers.

4.  Taking a 240 grit file, very gently file over the flowers to smooth them out and to get the entire nail area as smooth as possible (so that the flowers are all at the same height when you run your finger over them).  What you are doing is smoothing out your last application and filing down any high bits.
5.  Remove any dust from filing making sure the nail is clean.
Nail Polish – apply two coats of Nail Art Top Coat, let the first coat dry before applying the last one.
Gel – apply two more thin applications.
Acrylic – apply another application ensuring that the flowers are well covered.

This effect stands out when you only do one nail in flowers and the remainder of your nails are done with your selected base colour.
